For patrons using mobility devices, please note that both our sites are grassy lawns partially accessed via gravel paths.
What is the washroom situation at the sites?
HCP has a single gender neutral stall and more gendered washrooms inside their reception room area.
Esquimalt 3 stalls for men, 3 for women. Gender neutral washrooms are sometimes available at the newly renovated Tea House; unfortunately these are not open to our patrons when there is a private event (like a wedding).
Are the venues accessible via public transit?
Esquimalt Gorge Park: Bus routes 8, 9, 11, 14, and 26 all stop nearby. Bus route 24 also stops on Colville Rd about a 16 minute walk from the site.
The Gardens at HCP: Bus route 83 goes very near the site. This bus can be caught at the Royal Oak Exchange or in Sydney. It is worth noting that this bus comes very infrequently (every 2 hours on weekdays, every 3 hours on Saturdays) and ends service around 8pm so would not be an option for patrons looking for transit on their way home.
